Launching A Kickstarter with ZERO Promotion and Marketing!?

Can you launch a Kickstarter with zero promotion and marketing? Well...I did...

Can you launch a comic on Kickstarter with ZERO marketing and ZERO production, and have it funded and get backers? Is this possible? Well…I did it..and here are my results.

So how did this come about? Well.

A couple of months ago, my friend Larry said that if your project was marketable and of good quality, if you put it up on Kickstarter with ZERO promotion, that it would fund.

So I took that as a challenge.

I went on Kickstarter and made a brand new account called MR. SMILE COMICS, backed around 25+ comic projects, and then began the creation of my book.

3 weeks ago I made the account, 2 weeks ago I hired all the artists for covers and began creating the Kickstarter page, and 1 week ago I stealth launched the book.

The result?

I FUNDED IN 15 HOURS.

Now keep in mind, my funding goal was only $1000. But still. Even then. I funded in 15 hours with ZERO marketing and ZERO promotion. In fact, before sending this email out, I have $1800 made on this campaign which is more than a lot of other campaigns from other creators I’m seeing who are out and promoting every moment of every single day.

If I kept up this stealth campaign, I truly believe that the campaign would end at $2500-$3000.

So.

The question.
